The house currently occupies only the upper floor of the building, since the ground floor is in disuse (previously it was a shoe workshop).
With the premise of unifying the spaces to configure the house on the two levels, clients need to separate the social area from the private area. Our analysis determined that the most convenient option would be to keep the ground floor free of walls and divisions on the ground floor, using as delimiting and storage spaces the fixed cupboard furniture and entertainment furniture integrated into the staircase. We placed a gate in two folding pieces towards the back patio to allow the entire space to be connected to the back of the house, as well as to maximize the entry of fresh air and capture the greatest amount of light from the south.
The furniture forms an essential part of the new configuration as it will absorb the storage and location of most of the objects of daily life such as decoration, books, cutlery, crockery, dishes, kitchen utensils, electronic entertainment devices, clothes. , accessories and seasonal items in the home. Thus allowing to balance and empty much of the space for the use of activities without the limitations of ornamental saturation.
